Ecos is a wave shooter for the Commodore 64 and PC with a twist: you don't have lives, you have three time jumps. Every time you are hit, the wave starts over and your recorded attempt comes back as a ghost ship, an echo, repeating every move and every shot. Up to three echoes fly with you at once. Fall wisely, and your past selves become your squadron.

The story

Year 2187. Kepler-9 is a mining colony at the edge of everything. In a single night, a swarm of singing biomechanical creatures, the Choir, turned its fleet into scrap. Only one ship is left: the Alcione, a prototype with an experimental time-jump drive that never worked. Until now.

Vera Solano takes off with her brother Nico in the shelter and Commander Ibarra on the radio. But from the third sector on, a new voice joins the frequency. It comes from the enemy. And it is asking for help.

Controls

• PC: arrows or Z / X to move, SPACE to fire, L to change language
• C64: joystick in port 2 (or Z / X and SPACE)

Cuando caés, el tiempo vuelve atrás... y tu intento anterior pelea a tu lado.

Ecos es un shooter de oleadas para Commodore 64 y PC con una vuelta de tuerca: no tenés vidas, tenés tres saltos temporales. Cada vez que te alcanzan, la oleada vuelve a empezar y tu intento grabado regresa como una nave fantasma, un eco, que repite cada movimiento y cada disparo. Hasta tres ecos vuelan con vos. Si sabés caer, tus intentos pasados se convierten en tu escuadrón.

La historia

Año 2187. Kepler-9 es una colonia minera en el borde de todo. En una sola noche, un enjambre de criaturas biomecánicas que cantan, el Coro, convirtió su flota en chatarra. Queda una sola nave: la Alcione, un prototipo con un motor experimental de salto temporal que nunca había funcionado. Hasta ahora.

Vera Solano despega con su hermano Nico en el refugio y el comandante Ibarra en la radio. Pero a partir del tercer sector aparece una voz nueva en la frecuencia. Viene del enemigo. Y pide ayuda.

Controles

• PC: flechas o Z / X para moverte, ESPACIO para disparar, L para cambiar el idioma
• C64: joystick en el puerto 2 (o Z / X y ESPACIO)
